At Wind Energy Transport, our drivers are the life-blood of our company. Our success with our customers is directly related to the quality of our drivers. We look for highly trained professionals, experienced in heavy haul, with an outgoing personality and a proven track record for safety and reliability.
All Wind Energy Transport equipment has the average age of 1 to 3 years, and our drivers care of their equipment is part of our driver review program.
Driver Recruitment and Training
New drivers must have a clean driving record, a current CDL and physical, and have been driving professionally for at least 6 years verifiable heavy haul experience . Additionally, all drivers go through a complete background check and drug test. Most of our dedicated drivers have approached us directly as word of our company and its success has traveled fast in the driver community.
All new Wind Energy Transport drivers go through a two-week training program that includes an orientation program where key principles such as operational skills, safety, customer service, positive attitude, and attendance are instilled to ensure that all new employees are clear about what it takes to succeed in the Wind Energy Transport work environment.

Long Haul Truck Driver
Location: Texas, Oklahoma and Midwest

Education: High School
Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Permit and Route documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive trucks to transport oversize and overweight freight goods and materials, ensuring safety and security of cargo, plan travel schedules and routes, use permits, route surveys, trip overlays, GPS and other trip planning aids, receive and relay information to central dispatcher, oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, perform brake adjustments, monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, and perform emergency roadside repairs.
